Who We Are

Sustainable Resilience and Climate Action Network (SRCAN) was established to confront Somalia’s critical environmental challenges. Since 2016, we have operated in regions such as Banadir, Hirshabelle, Southwest State, Jubaland, and Galmudug to advance climate resilience and sustainable development. Our mission is rooted in empowering communities to transform vulnerabilities into opportunities. Marginalized groups, including women, youth, and pastoralists, are at the center of our efforts, ensuring that solutions are inclusive and responsive to local needs. By fostering collaboration and innovation, we enable individuals and communities to adapt, recover, and thrive in the face of climate challenges.

Our work focuses on climate-smart agriculture, water resource management, ecosystem restoration, and disaster risk reduction, all designed to build long-term sustainability. These initiatives align with Somalia’s National Adaptation Plan (NAP) and global frameworks such as the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Partnerships with local and international stakeholders amplify our impact, allowing us to implement transformative programs that address immediate needs while creating a resilient foundation for the future.
